Getting Started
Welcome to the AnyDesk app ecosystem. To begin, download the client from our Download Center. Once opened, you will see your AnyDesk Address. Share this address with the person you want to allow to connect to your device.
For unattended access remote desktop setups, you can configure a password in the security settings, allowing you to connect to your device anytime without needing someone to accept the session.
Installation & Activation
Windows: You can run AnyDesk portably or install it fully for background access.
Mac: Wondering how to install AnyDesk on Mac? Download the DMG file, drag the app to Applications, and ensure you grant Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions in System Preferences.
Mobile: AnyDesk is available for iOS and Android. It is a highly secure remote access app for managing devices on the go.
Remote Connection Troubleshooting
If you cannot connect, check the following:
- Ensure both devices are connected to the internet and the AnyDesk network.
- Check your firewall settings to ensure AnyDesk is allowed to communicate.
- Verify that the AnyDesk ID/Alias is typed correctly.
Remote Desktop Issues
Black Screen: This usually occurs due to missing permissions (especially on Mac) or display driver issues on the remote device.
Lag/Slow Connection: Try disabling "Preserve details" in the Display settings or connecting via a direct IP if on the same network.
